Deze auto word dagelijks gebruikt, en in deze auto komt een High End SQ installatie, het doel hiervan is een zo zuiver mogelijke geluidsweergave.In normale rij omstandigheden is deze auto vrij van piepjes, kraakjes en rammeltjes. Maar door het toevoegen van een zwaardere subwoofer kunnen interieur delen gaan resoneren. De auto word voorzien van demping door middel van Linnentape, Foam en dempingsmatten. Door middel van deze foto reportage krijgt u een idee wat er nodig is om een SQ installatie te maken. De bekabeling voor de stroom voorziening, RCA (tulp) kabels en speakers lopen afzonderlijk door de auto om storing te voorkomen.
This car is used daily, and it will be fitted with a high-end SQ system. The goal is to achieve the purest possible sound reproduction. Under normal driving conditions, this car is free of squeaks, creaks, and rattles. However, adding a heavier subwoofer can cause interior parts to resonate. The car will be dampened with linen tape, foam, and damping mats. This photo report will give you an idea of what's needed to create an SQ system. The wiring for the power supply, RCA cables, and speakers will be run separately throughout the car to prevent interference.

Phoenix Gold Zen 9
9 Kanaals klasse A/B + klasse D klasse SQ versterker. Deze versterker is gemaakt in een oplage van 100 stuks wereldwijd. De versterker is alleen voorzien van versterking, en er zijn geen filters of andere regelmogelijkheden aanwezig om een zo zuiver mogelijk geluid te produceren.

The door cubbies have been removed and woofer enclosures are being made in the shape of the original door panel. The amplifier's cooling system uses an electronically controlled fan setup; the fans used are Noctua fans and are super quiet. The amplifier for the front sub will be changed to a different type (all Boston amplifiers will go into another car). Standalone DSP for controlling the entire sound system: Stinger Electronics 9000 series RCA interconnects once the DSP is installed.

Het eindresulaat. De behuizing zou nog gespoten worden in de beige, maar aangezien er een DSP gemonteerd gaat worden (waarvan de bediening op deze plek komt en de Kenwood eruit gaat), word het spuiten niet meer gedaan.
Aangezien de deuren niet optimaal zijn voor speakers, worden de achter speakers gemonteerd in de hoedenplank. In de LS430 zitten de speakers altijd in de deuren, dus moet er een maatwerk oplossing gemaakt worden. Doel is een stealth install met de uitstraling alsof het altijd al in de auto geeft gezeten.
Speaker 3D ingescand, en de beplating van de hoedenplank 3D ingescand, de speaker adapter ring volgt exact de vorm van het plaatstaal.
Since the doors are not optimal to install speakers, the rear speakers will be installed in the rear deck. In the LS430 the speakers are always in the doors, so a custom solution must be made. Goal is a stealth install that looks like it always has been in the car. Speaker is 3d scanned, sheetmetal underneath the rear deck is 3d scanned, the adapter ring follows the exact curve of the sheet metal.

By scanning the sheet metal the speaker will be installed as close as possible to the sheetmetal. The speaker can be installed safely without touching or rubbing anything and zero chance of damage.
De hoedenplank is 3D ingescand en een grill is getekend in Fusion360, om een OEM uitstraling te krijgen word het patroon in het plastic van de OEM 8 inch subwoofer grill nagemaakt. Op de foto hieronder is het originele patroon te zien. De grill word bekleed met originele stof zodat deze helemaal integreert in het interieur.
The rear deck is 3d scanned and a grill is drawn in Fusion360, to make an OEM look the pattern of the plastic of the 8 inch subwoofer grill is copied. On the picture below you can see the pattern. The grill will be upholstered with original fabric, so it will fully integrate with the interior.

The grill is attached with bolts to the rear deck.
Met epoxy zijn de bouten vastgelijmd, en de grill is weer vlakgeschuurd. De epoxy is nog gespoten met zwarte automotive lak, zodat deze straks niet te zien zijn door het speakerdoek.
The bolts are glued in place with epoxy, the grill was sanded flat afterwards. The epoxy was painted black with Automotive paint, so it wont show through the fabric.
Er zijn 2 extra subwoofer grilletjes gekocht om hiervan de stof te gebruiken voor de grilletjes.

Aangezien er verschillende interieur kleuren zijn, maar de stof wel identiek moet zijn, is de stof gespoten met verf voor textiel om een uniforme kleur te krijgen.
Since there are different colour interiors, but the fabric must be identical, the fabric was painted with fabric paint to get a uniform colour.

Het plaatstaal voorzien van dempingsmatten. De auto is hierdoor nog stiller, en de resonanties worden voorkomen.

De kaartenbakken zijn alvast verwijderd van de deurpanelen. Op deze plek komt straks een behuizing voor de woofers, deze krijgen dezelfde vorm en bekleding als het deurpaneel, voor een OEM look.

De achterste subwoofer is een Infinite Baffle Subwoofer, de kofferbak fungeert als klankkast. Dit neemt weinig ruimte in beslag omdat er geen grote kist nodig is, en de weergave is erg mooi. Deze plaat word nog bekleed voor een mooie integratie in het interieur. De achterste sub speelt tot 50 Hz.
